Berkmont was founded in 2024 by Michael Yu, Abbie Oh Arroyo and Philycius Oey when they took on the 48 Hour Film Project.

After winning an Audience Award at the 48 Hour Film Project, Los Angeles, they took on the Bay Area 48HFP and ended up walking home with 6 Awards including Best Film.

The success of their first two projects showed them one thing: this could be bigger.

Since then, the team at Berkmont have produced a series of music videos for British artist archie (featured on BBC Introducing) and are expanding into commercial and branded content.

They are excited about the next chapter.

(Fun fact, the group’s name comes from a combination of their alma mater’s names: UC Berkeley and The Claremont Colleges!).
